Requirements:

BS degree in Welding Engineering preferred, will consider BSME. 5+ years of engineering experience in pressure vessels, heat exchangers, custom fabrication. Experience in regulated manufacturing such as nuclear, defense, aerospace, Navy nuclear, etc. (no automotive industry). Background in leading engineers or technical personnel. Strong knowledge of welding-intensive, engineered-to-order fabrication. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, codes, and fabrication documents.

Responsibilities:

Lead engineering for ASME Code pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and welded nuclear equipment. Review customer specifications, OEM drawings, codes, and contract requirements. Develop and approve shop drawings, fabrication instructions, and job travelers. Support welding, machining, forming, heat treatment, NDE, and final assembly. Oversee WPS, PQR, WQR, and welding qualification activities. Resolve technical and fabrication issues affecting quality, schedule, and cost. Support new fabrication, obsolete-equipment replacement, repair, and refurbishment. Coordinate with Quality, Manufacturing, Project Management, Sales, customers, and suppliers.
