Full-time, Direct Hire | Relocation assistance available ($3,000•5,000, grossed up) About the Role Howmet Aerospace's Plant 10 in Whitehall, MI is a high-output casting facility producing components for next-generation aerospace engines. This Engineering Leader role is hands-on and high-impact•you will own throughput improvement, scrap reduction, NPI execution, and direct engineering relationships with engine manufacturers. This is not a back-office engineering role. You will be on the floor, leading projects, engaging teams, and driving measurable results in yield, cost, and cycle time. What You Will Do Lead product yield improvement, variation reduction, and cost reduction initiatives tied to ceramic core and parts manufacturing. Own NPI from development through production, ensuring alignment with timelines, budget, and quoted standards. Build and manage the plant scrap reduction plan. Lead cellular manufacturing and methods improvement projects to drive labor cost reduction. Work directly with engine manufacturers' engineering teams to optimize core design and producibility. Develop engineering staff through training strategies and a culture of engagement. What You Need Bachelor's degree in Engineering. 5+ years in manufacturing with at least 1 year of leadership experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills•5 Why, A3 Thinking, Trucker's Log. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.
