Description:

Scott Equipment Co is looking to hire a Engineering Manager to join our Bin Panel team in New Prague, MN! Scott Equipment believes in a strong and healthy company culture and is looking to add team members who believe in the same. Our motto is "

Individuals that are successful in this role are self-motivated, have strong leadership skills, creative, coachable, have excellent time management skills, and a desire to help others. This role works closely with our designer/drafters and production team.

Major Areas of Accountability:

Advises and assists the Bin Panel Engineering department in design and project management. Reviews incoming project files, sales quotation and assigns to tasks to team members. Reviews preliminary drawings based on project specifications. Consults with salesperson to verify specifications on the project. Develops overall drawings for the customer to review and approve Reviews prints prior to submission to customer and being released to the shop. Assists Human Resources with Engineering Department employee reviews. Assists in setting department goals provided by ownership group and seeing they are executed. Develops and implements policies, standards and procedures for the department. Provide guidance, training and direction to the team members within the Engineering Department. Addresses complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts within the department. Provides guidance with respect to updates for design charts, forms, manuals, etc. Develops a plan for accessibility to standard drawing and components. Monitors and makes adjustments for workload and time off within the department team members. Presents ideas on new products, improvements on existing products, and innovations that will result in a better product line for Scott Equipment Company. Assists sales department with quotes and sales drawings. Keeps abreast of innovations and new products in the field. Represents the company in a polite and professional manner that enhances a favorable image of the company at all times. Responds to customer equipment problems, in conjunction with the Engineer, by reviewing customer file, determining the nature of the problem and developing a solution to ensure that equipment operates properly and the customer is satisfied. Performs other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and/or

Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated ability to use computer assisted engineering (CAE) systems and computer assisted design systems in the design of various equipment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products. Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks PI287028319
