Job Description

Position Overview:
The Engineering Manager Managed Properties primary responsibility is overseeing the maintenance and operations of the resort's managed properties, ensuring they are safe, functional, and maintained to company standards. This role also supports overall facilities projects and working closely with the other Engineering Manager General Maintenance to coordinate tasks and resources across the department. The Engineering Manager Managed Properties is also responsible for timely communication with the Facilities Director and Owners Relations Manager regarding daily operational issues, billing, and recommended repairs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Plans upcoming projects/repairs in conjunction with the Director of Facilities, so as to eliminate issues prior to the start of the projectEvaluates work orders, organizes and assigns them.

Forecasting Engineering expenses and tracking revenue generated from managed properties invoicingMaintains a strong relationship with all other departments to make sure communication is seamlessResponsible for appropriately ordering supplies and parts, as well as understanding how they are stocked and inventoriedMaintains exceptional communication and positive relationshipsMaking recommendations regarding repairs/replacementsResponsible for hiring/scheduling/managing associatesResponsible for training and evaluating all associatesCoordinates daily job lists and inspects work done by associatesMaintains shop, vehicles, and equipmentGenerates written work orders and prepared detailed time sheet and recordsMaintains safe work habits and uses all safety precautions recommended for each tool or machineryOther duties may be assigned
Job Requirements:
General knowledge and working ability in plumbing, electrical. HVAC, refrigeration, pools, lighting, appliances, fire suppression systems, flooring, painting, furniture and PM inspectionsAbility to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and PM shifts.

Basic computer knowledge primarily for scheduling or payrollThe position requires the ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally.

This position requires the ability to stand, walk (6-7 hours at a time), and climb stairs, reach & bend. The position requires that the employee be able to read basic chemical labels and write complete sentences in submitting reports and assessments.

Ability to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED Three (3) years of experience in maintenance, property management with preference for hospitality experienceMicrosoft Office experience required (Excel proficiency highly preferred)Valid drivers license for use of company vehicles may be required
