An employee in this class serves as the Engineering Division's project management and construction inspection coordination lead. Work includes managing assigned capital projects, coordinating consultant and contractor work, supporting development review, overseeing construction documentation, supervising construction inspection personnel, and coordinating field activities to ensure infrastructure is constructed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, Town standards, and regulatory requirements. The position reports to the Deputy Town Engineer and directly supervises the Construction Inspector and Construction Grading Inspector. The Project Manager assigns and reviews inspection work, establishes inspection priorities, coordinates field coverage, reviews inspection documentation, provides coaching and training, and supports performance management for assigned inspection staff. Position focuses on project delivery, construction coordination, field inspection management, consultant and contractor coordination, and day-to-day supervision of assigned inspection staff. Work is evaluated through conferences, review of records, project delivery results, inspection documentation, construction quality, budget and schedule performance, customer service, and effectiveness of relationships with internal and external customers.
