Job Description

A civil engineering firm in New Bern, NC is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to lead design and technical delivery on civil engineering projects. This role combines hands-on technical engineering with project leadership responsibility. Responsibilities Lead civil engineering design and technical analysis across assigned projects Review and stamp engineering plans and calculations in accordance with state licensure requirements Serve as technical lead on project teams, coordinating with other disciplines and client stakeholders Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and EITs Support business development through client relationships and technical proposals as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina, or ability to obtain reciprocity 5+ years of relevant civil engineering design experience Strong technical knowledge in relevant civil design disciplines (site/civil, land development, or public infrastructure) Strong communication and leadership skills
