Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Tooling Technician position is responsible for the building of new fiberglass tooling masters and production tooling and for implementing changes to existing tooling. It is also responsible for the maintenance and repair of such molds.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Uses accepted methods to build new masters, mockups, molds, and specialized splashes. Reshapes and alters the dimensions of existing tooling masters and molds. This may require the use of precise measuring equipment such as laser aligners and bubble levels. Inspects molds for areas that need maintenance or repair. Selects the proper methods to complete work such as grinding, dremeling, sanding, glassing, spraying, resurfacing, reshaping, or reinforcing. Washes and waxes molds to make ready for production.ALL OTHER DUTIES ASSIGNED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
