09/10/2026 Director of Engineering & E-House Business Unit Washington, NC (primary) Alternate sites: Raleigh, NC or Richmond, VA 50%+ travel required About the Role Rise Power Systems is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our Modular E-House product line as its de facto general manager. While the title centers on engineering, this role functions as the business owner for the E-House product line- accountable not just for technical definition, but for how the product performs commercially, operationally, and competitively.

- coordinating directly with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance as needed.
Platform architecture:
Define E-House layouts, structural standards, and integration zones that become the technical foundation for the product line.Design standardization:
Develop templated, configurable designs that cut engineering hours per unit and let the team scale output without scaling headcount.Manufacturability:
Set fabrication and assembly standards, and drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) using direct production feedback.Compliance:
Ensure every product meets applicable UL and regulatory requirements- no exceptions.
Program and commercial execution:
Partner with Program Management to align Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain, and stay directly involved in scope, cost, and schedule decisions across active programs.Customer and business development:
Represent the E-House line in customer design discussions, system integration conversations, and major pursuits- acting as a trusted technical and commercial voice for the business.
New Product Introduction:
Lead NPI efforts end to end, from concept through first production units. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. 10+ years of experience in power systems, electrical equipment manufacturing, or modular fabrication. Direct experience with E-House systems or other integrated electrical/mechanical assemblies. Demonstrated ability to operate beyond a pure engineering lane- comfortable with cost, schedule, staffing, and customer-facing decisions.
