Engineering Manager Location:

Position Summary The Engineering Manager leads and develops the engineering function to support operational excellence, quality performance, and production efficiency. This role is responsible for setting technical direction, prioritizing high-impact initiatives, and ensuring scalable, sustainable engineering solutions across the organization. The Engineering Manager partners closely with plant leadership to align engineering strategy with business objectives, manages and mentors a team of engineers, and contributes hands-on expertise to complex technical challenges. This role balances people leadership, project ownership, and technical problem-solving to drive measurable results. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic technical leadership to ensure achievement of quality, cost, delivery, and production goals. Identify, prioritize, and implement high-value engineering initiatives that drive continuous improvement. Partner with plant and production leadership to align engineering resources with operational priorities. Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence. Manage performance, development plans, and retention of engineering team members. Ensure engineering solutions are well-documented, standardized, and scalable across operations. Oversee creation and maintenance of SOPs, drawings, specifications, and critical engineering documentation. Contribute directly to complex engineering problem-solving and root cause analysis as needed. Ensure compliance with internal standards, quality requirements, and best engineering practices. Support company-wide quality and reliability targets through robust engineering processes. Desired Qualifications Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and influence cross-functional teams toward measurable business outcomes. Strong background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement methodologies. Proven experience developing, documenting, and implementing SOPs and standard work. Automotive or automotive remanufacturing industry experience strongly preferred. Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. 6+ years of industrial manufacturing experience, including prior people leadership or engineering management experience. Experience managing engineering projects and driving process improvements in a production environment.
