Job Description

As our Quality Assurance Manager , you will strategically oversee quality operations, engineering alignment, and compliance standards across our manufacturing facility. Beyond day-to-day inspection oversight, you will lead the Quality department, manage supervisory staff and inspection teams, and establish high-level quality strategies that drive yield optimization, defect reduction, and continuous process improvement. You will serve as the primary quality liaison for internal leadership, key customers, and regulatory auditors.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership:
Define, implement, and track plant-wide quality goals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality management roadmaps to align with business objectives.
Team Governance & Mentorship:
Direct and develop Quality Supervisors, Engineers, and Inspectors, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
System & Standard Management:
Oversee the site Quality Management System (QMS) to maintain compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, GMP), driving audit readiness and lead auditor responsibilities.
Corrective Action & CAPA:
Lead high-level root-cause analysis initiatives (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) for critical quality failures, implementing systemic Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
Cross-Functional Strategy:
Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain leadership to review new product introductions (NPI), validate production processes, and manage vendor quality performance.
Customer & Audit Interface:
Serve as the main point of contact for customer quality escalations, regulatory inspections, and third-party registrar audits.
Budget & Resource Management:
Manage department operating budgets, quality control equipment investments, calibration programs, and inspection resource allocation.
Qualifications Experience:
5+ years of progressive quality management or engineering leadership experience within a precision manufacturing or industrial environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
Technical Mastery:
Deep expertise in interpreting complex engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and manufacturing specifications.
Regulatory & Quality Standards:
Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on management of QMS frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, or GMP).
Problem-Solving Expertise:
Proven expertise in structured problem-solving methodologies and statistical process control (SPC). Preferred Experience & Competencies Professional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM/OE), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt. Strong leadership capability with a track record of driving cross-departmental accountability and continuous improvement initiatives. High-level communication and presentation skills suitable for executive leadership and external stakeholders. Experience utilizing enterprise QMS software modules, ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and advanced analytics tools. Pay:
$95,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
