They are seeking a Lead MEP Engineer to take ownership of a growing practice that blends technical leadership, operational oversight, and client facing influence. This Role Offers Competitive base compensation with a strong overall benefits package The opportunity to lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts on high visibility projects A visible leadership seat with influence over team growth, project strategy, and client development A collaborative environment with executive level partnership and long term career upside Focus Lead a multidisciplinary MEP and fire protection engineering function across complex building and infrastructure projects Set the technical direction for design delivery, quality standards, code compliance, constructability, and system performance Guide engineering teams through project planning, staffing, coordination, and execution for both new construction and renovation work Partner closely with architecture, project management, and executive leadership to align technical delivery with business priorities Support value driven engineering decisions that improve outcomes while maintaining safety, quality, and regulatory compliance Oversee resource planning, team utilization, and delivery performance to keep projects on schedule and teams effectively deployed Coach, mentor, and develop engineering staff through performance feedback, growth planning, and day to day leadership Build and strengthen client relationships across institutional, government, transportation, and other regulated project environments Contribute to business development by helping shape pursuits, proposals, scopes, pricing strategy, and go to market planning Provide leadership input on budgeting, forecasting, practice growth, and overall business performance Skill Set 15 or more years of experience within consulting MEP engineering design, with exposure to complex facilities and public facing projects Demonstrated success in a senior leadership capacity with responsibility for team management, operational performance, or business unit results Professional Engineer license in New York, required Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and related building systems in both existing facilities and ground up environments Experience working with New York City or New York State agency standards, review processes, or project requirements Proficiency with AutoCAD, BIM or Revit, and related engineering design tools Comfort working with project management platforms and standard business software Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical recommendations in a clear, client friendly manner Preferred Background Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering required Advanced degree or MBA preferred LEED accreditation preferred
