Suozzo, Doty & Associates Professional Engineering, PLLC (SDA) is seeking a Project Civil Engineer with 8-12 years of professional experience to join our talented and growing firm! SDA has offices in Bolton Landing and Lake Placid, New York and this position can be in either location. We are a full service Civil and Environmental Engineering Firm, and we serve the public, private, institutional and non-profit sectors. This position is best suited for someone who has a solid work ethic, can work in a team environment, has good written and oral communication skills and a desire to learn and advance their career. This person will be leading all aspects of projects including performing technical duties as well as certain project management duties. This person will be working directly with firm leadership and is expected to effectively collaborate with and coach/mentor less experienced staff members as part of advancing projects. Position Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required PE Registration is a plus but not a requirement. Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D preferred Working knowledge of other modeling programs (HydroCAD, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, etc.) also a plus Ability to effectively manage assignments, project schedules and project budgets. Position Responsibilities Serve as the technical lead and project management duties on a wide array of projects. Projects may include but not be limited to: land development/site design water supply, distribution and treatment wastewater conveyance and treatment stormwater management and green infrastructure design municipal facilities design environmental benefit project design recreation facility design municipal site plan review support Field investigations to support design Development of engineering reports/assessments, performance of calculations, models, etc. Development of project documents including engineering plans, specifications, permitting and funding applications Bidding, construction contract administration and observation Assist with preparation of project proposals Coordinate and effectively work with other team members and senior staff
