A Mechanical Engineering Manager oversees engineering and technical design of mechanical engineering projects, such as engines or robotics. Manages communication and coordination among different types of engineers working on a project. Supervises project schedule, budget, and communications with stakeholders.

The Mechanical Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading our mechanical engineering team and providing hands-on technical leadership across product design, development, manufacturing support, and customer engineering requirements.
Lead and develop the mechanical engineering team, setting priorities, assigning projects, mentoring engineers, and driving performance and professional growth. Oversee mechanical design and engineering projects from concept through development and production, including precision components, gears, shafts, bearings, and power transmission assemblies. Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Sales to resolve complex production and design issues, improve manufacturability, and implement effective engineering solutions. Review and approve engineering designs and documentation, including SolidWorks models, detailed drawings, GD&T, specifications, calculations, material selections, and technical requirements. Serve as a technical resource for customers and company leadership, providing engineering solutions, managing project priorities and resources, and ensuring designs meet quality, cost, schedule, and customer requirements.
Mechanical Engineering Manager Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with 5+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience. 3+ years of engineering leadership, supervisory, or management experience, with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams. Strong background in mechanical design and precision manufacturing, including engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerancing, materials, and mechanical analysis. Proficiency with SolidWorks and experience supporting manufacturing through design-for-manufacturability, production troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
