Assistant Portfolio Engineer Location:

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support portfolio planning, project coordination, and budget development for a complex transmission and distribution program. Our team is helping deliver long-range planning, project assembly, and reporting that supports informed decision-making across multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Review and manage schedules, scope, and budgets while maintaining accurate project information in spreadsheets. Coordinate with planning portfolio engineers, client management, and client sponsors to support long-range integrated portfolio planning. Develop conceptual estimates, schedules, baseline scopes, and reports to support project initiation and execution. Assist with budget planning, project justification, financial setup, and coordination across multiple stakeholders and organizations.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program — required. 1+ year of professional engineering experience, with 2-5 years preferred. Transmission & Distribution (T&D) experience — required. Experience with utility transmission, distribution, substations, or transmission line projects. Experience coordinating project scope, schedules, budgets, and estimates. Strong organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to coordinate projects across multiple teams and stakeholders. Must be legally authorized to work permanently without sponsorship or time limitations.
