Location Marriott Columbus Downtown - 90 - Maintenance About the opportunity The Director of Engineering develops, implements, and manages preventative maintenance as well as emergency programs for the operation, maintaining all equipment and physical structures and landscaping in compliance with company standards, local, state, and national codes and regulations. What you'll get to do
- Develop, implement, and manage preventative and emergency maintenance programs
- Conduct routine property walks and detailed inspections of hotel facilities
- Oversee all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, structural, and landscaping systems
- Ensure compliance with company standards and all local, state, and national codes
- Lead short- and long-term engineering division planning Skills and Experience
- Ability to communicate and collaborate positively with fellow team members
- Ability to keep accurate accounts of all parts and equipment orders
- Strong project management skills and ability to create processes and keep deadlines
- Ability to read and translate blueprints, electrical diagrams, and schedules
- Knowledge of codes and specifications and ability to research and learn regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of general work safety practices and operation of power tools and maintenance equipment
