Job Summary
Responsible for leading the civil/structural engineering scope of the Power Uprate projects. Ensures the design, analysis, and modification of civil and structural systems meet NRC requirements, industry codes, and Vistra standards. Coordinates with EPC partners, OEMs, and site engineering to deliver constructible and safe civil solutions that support plant reliability and long-term operations. Job Description Key Accountabilities Lead the civil/structural engineering scope for EPU projects, ensuring safety, constructability, and schedule adherence. Direct and review civil/structural designs, ensuring compliance with NRC licensing bases, ACI/AISC codes, and fleet standards. Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, and site engineering on building, foundation, and structural modifications. Support Owner's Engineer and independent third-party reviews to validate design quality and seismic/structural integrity. Resolve civil/structural technical issues that could impact project or outage milestones. Ensure designs support long-term operability, maintainability, and integration into existing plant infrastructure. Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Civil or Structural Engineering (desired). 10+ years of nuclear or heavy industrial engineering experience, with 5+ years in civil/structural design and construction. Experience on Extended Power Uprates, large component replacements, or > $1B infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of NRC, INPO, ASME, ANSI, and
