Manufacturing Engineering Director Job Description The Manufacturing Engineering Director is responsible for leading all manufacturing operations, including fabrication, welding, machining, maintenance, and quality. This role is pivotal in driving safety, productivity, quality, and on-time delivery while spearheading continuous improvement initiatives and developing high-performing teams. The Manufacturing Engineering Director works closely with executive leadership to enhance operational efficiency, support business growth, and ensure customer expectations are consistently met. Responsibilities Lead all manufacturing operations, including fabrication, welding, machining, maintenance, and quality. Drive safety, productivity, quality, and on-time delivery across the manufacturing process. Initiate and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing efficiency. Develop and manage high-performing teams to achieve operational excellence. Collaborate with executive leadership to enhance operational efficiency and support business growth. Ensure consistent fulfillment of customer expectations. Essential Skills Expertise in manufacturing engineering and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles. Experience in fabrication and continuous improvement. Familiarity with tracking and driving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies. Experience in process engineering and engineering management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience. Experience in operations and people leadership. Hands-on experience working in a welding/fabrication manufacturing environment.
