This leader will be responsible for driving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance while developing and executing manufacturing strategies that support business growth and operational transformation.
The ideal candidate will oversee manufacturing operations, process engineering, continuous improvement initiatives, and capital investments while leading cross-functional teams to achieve world-class performance. This role will champion the Bosch Production System (BPS), Lean manufacturing, Industry 4.0 initiatives, and operational excellence across all value streams.
Key Responsibilities1. Manufacturing Operations LeadershipLead and optimize all production operations to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targetsDrive production performance, throughput, and OEE improvementsEnsure effective workforce planning, staffing, and operational stabilityEstablish a culture of accountability and performance management2. Manufacturing Engineering & Process ExcellenceDefine and implement robust manufacturing processes for existing and new productsLead process design, line balancing, capacity planning, and layout optimizationEnsure standardization of work, documentation, and engineering practicesSupport new product introduction (NPI) activities including industrialization and ramp-up3. Operational Excellence & BPS DeploymentDrive Bosch Production System (BPS) implementation across all value streamsLead Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiativesIdentify and eliminate waste across manufacturing processesEstablish KPI systems and drive data-based decision-making4. Strategy, CAPEX & TransformationDevelop and execute manufacturing strategy aligned with divisional and global objectivesLead capital planning, prioritization, and execution (automation, expansion, modernization)Drive Industry 4.0, digital manufacturing, and smart factory initiativesSupport plant footprint optimization and capacity expansion5. Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Quality, Supply Chain, R D, and Finance to ensure operational alignmentEnsure "design for manufacturing" and early engineering involvement in product developmentSupport cost reduction, sourcing strategies, and supplier integrationEnable successful product launches and lifecycle management6. People Leadership & Organization DevelopmentLead, develop, and mentor cross-functional teams across operations and engineeringEstablish clear performance expectations and development plansBuild leadership pipeline and technical capability within the organizationFoster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and engagement8. Performance & KPIsSafety performance (TRIR, incidents)OEE, productivity, and labor efficiencyCost (conversion cost, cost reduction savings)Delivery (OTIF, throughput)Quality (scrap, rework, internal defects)CAPEX execution and ROIQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related)12+ years of experience in manufacturing and engineering5+ years in senior leadership roles managing multi-functional teamsStrong knowledge of Bosch Production System (BPS), Lean, Six SigmaExperience in high-volume or complex manufacturing environmentsPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree (MBA or Engineering)Six Sigma Black BeltExperience with Industry 4.0, automation, and digital transformation
