Job Description

Distribution Engineer (Remote) We are seeking an experienced Distribution Engineer to lead natural gas utility projects and serve as the primary point of contact for clients. This role is responsible for project oversight, design quality, resource planning, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements while providing technical leadership across project teams. Key Responsibilities Lead client communications and project meetings. Manage project scope, schedules, resources, and risks. Review engineering designs, estimates, and AFC packages. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations. Collaborate with CAD, drafting, permitting, and survey teams. Monitor project performance, budgets, and deliverables. Mentor engineers, designers, and drafters. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Experience in the natural gas utility industry. Strong experience in gas distribution design. Proficiency with AutoCAD and engineering drafting. Knowledge of utility permitting and environmental requirements. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodridge, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $54.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
