This is a 100% remote position; can work from home.
Job Responsibilities:
The Vice President, SAPPHIRE is accountable for the
SAPPHIRE
business unit (BU) delivery excellence, operational performance, financial outcomes, and sustainable client growth. The
SAPPHIRE
project team focuses on Pharmaceutical Brand Performance tracking. This role leads the BU team, shapes and improves ways of working, serves as an executive client partner, and contributes to Michael Allen Company (MAC) strategy and transformation. Own overall quality, consistency, and impact of all BU project delivery. Ensure appropriate resourcing models and staffing levels to meet delivery, margin, and client satisfaction targets. Drive continuous improvement in deliverables, methodologies, and client value through innovation and best-practice adoption. Act as senior escalation point for complex projects, clients, or delivery risks. Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of BU-specific and MAC-wide processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and quality. Champion standardization where appropriate, while enabling flexibility for specialized solutions. Partner with Operations, Finance, and Leadership to improve end-to-end workflows. Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing, engaged BU team. Own talent strategy for the
BU:
hiring, onboarding, development, retention, and succession planning. Ensure clear development plans, career pathways, and performance management for all team members. Actively contribute to training, mentoring, and capability-building across the wider MAC business. Foster a strong, collaborative, and values-driven culture. Full P&L ownership for the BU, ensuring revenue growth, margin performance, and cost control meet or exceed targets. Oversee revenue recognition, financial project closure, and financial governance. Provide accurate, forward-looking revenue and resource forecasts. Identify and execute opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and commercial performance. Support Sales team efforts, including credentials, proposal development, and pitch delivery for new clients. Serve as senior client partner for key accounts within the BU. Lead growth of existing accounts through strategic account planning, upsell, and cross-sell initiatives. Identify potential business opportunities with MAC's parent company and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to maximize chances of success. Build and maintain strong external relationships and act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders. Represent the BU and MAC externally at industry events, conferences, and thought leadership forums (as relevant). Lead the development and evolution of BU-specific products, solutions, and service offerings aligned with market needs and business strategy. Generate new product concepts and build robust business cases for investment and full development. Oversee product launch, positioning, internal enablement, and adoption. Continuously assess market trends, client needs, and competitive landscape to inform the innovation roadmap. Contribute to MAC leadership team strategy, planning, and decision-making. Translate overall company strategy into actionable BU plans, priorities, and targets. Act as a change leader, driving transformation initiatives and supporting organizational evolution.
Job Requirements:
Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, Health Informatics or a related quantitative field 6 years of experience as a Quantitative Analyst or related role, using varied procedures and problem-solving methods in a healthcare professional services firm, product company, or related organization. 3 years of leadership experience in healthcare consulting, analytics, or related professional services, including responsibility for delivery quality, team leadership, and commercial outcomes; proven leadership of multiple concurrent client engagements/programs, with accountability for delivery excellence, risk management, and client satisfaction 5 years of experience managing healthcare tracking research with a particular area of focus on patient chart audits 3 years of experience building, coaching, and retaining high-performing teams 3 years of experience with hiring, performance management, and succession planning; strong commercial acumen, including P&L ownership (or equivalent accountability), budgeting/forecasting, margin management, and financial governance (e.g., revenue recognition and project closure disciplines) Senior client leadership experience, including executive stakeholder management, complex issue resolution/escalation handling, and business development through account planning, upsell, and cross-sell Experience advancing methodologies, products, and service offerings Ability to translate market/client insights into scalable solutions and internal enablement Strong analytical literacy and experience engaging with data, tools, and technical teams (e.g., survey/market research, healthcare datasets, and statistical methods) Advanced proficiency in MS Office, with additional analytics tooling experience (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R, Python, or similar) How to
