This is a hands-on technical project-management position for someone who can work across the entire project lifecycle—from estimating and design through fabrication, procurement, job-cost management, quality documentation, and project closeout .

Key Responsibilities:

Manage mechanical and industrial fabrication projects Develop 3D models, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings using CREO Prepare material takeoffs, labor estimates, and project bids Coordinate purchasing, vendors, subcontractors, and material delivery Track project budgets, labor, committed costs, change orders, and cost-to-complete Support pipe, structural steel, equipment-support, and miscellaneous metal fabrication Coordinate with customers, engineers, inspectors, shop personnel, and field crews Maintain QC documentation, material traceability, MTRs, weld documentation, and turnover packages Identify cost, schedule, fabrication, and design issues before they become project problems

Ideal Candidate:

Experience in mechanical construction, industrial fabrication, structural steel, pipe fabrication, or a related field Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications Project-management and/or estimating experience Working knowledge of fabrication and welding practices Strong Microsoft Excel skills CREO experience preferred Organized, accountable, technically capable, and comfortable working directly with both customers and skilled trades personnel Experience with AWS, ASME, high-specification, or nuclear-related fabrication is a plus.
