Assistant Chief Engineer - Critical Environments What this job involves - As an Assistant Chief Engineer for Data Center Facilities at JLL, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of mission-critical data center environments. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer to oversee facility operations, manage technical teams, and implement strategies to optimize performance, reliability, and efficiency of data center infrastructure. Your day-to-day tasks will include - Assisting in the management and coordination of data center facility operations and maintenance activities Supervising and mentoring technical staff, including engineers, technicians, and contractors Monitoring and analyzing critical systems performance, including power, cooling, and network infrastructure Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules and procedures Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements Participating in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrade projects Responding to and managing critical incidents and emergency situations Preparing technical reports, documentation, and presentations for management and clients Incident Management Be the first point of contact for service impacting events involving the electrical distribution system. Assist the team in troubleshooting and mitigating incidents. Assist in the creation of root cause analysis (RCAs). Be available for after-hours support regarding the electrical distribution systems.
