Job Title:
Technical Liaison Engineer Job Duties:

Work with local and offshore engineering teams on the design, development, and implementation of electrical vehicle systems and components for heavy and medium duty trucks. Responsible for applying knowledge of commercial vehicle engineering in collecting requirements, transferring technical data, managing queries, communicating status, and ensuring deliverables meet customer expectations. Communicate relevant information to facilitate both daily activities where physical presence is necessary, and long-term planning to align offshore team competencies with requirements. Apply understanding of the knowledge, expertise, and operational environment of offshore teams to make pivotal engineering decisions for effective project management. Maintain detailed working knowledge of vehicle projects, understanding project priorities and implication to direct successful completion. Serve as interface between local and offshore engineering teams. Work within onsite systems to hand offshore deliverables to onsite engineering systems.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related Engineering field or foreign degree equivalent and 5 years of progressive commercial vehicle engineering experience.

Experience must include:

1. 5 years of experience in designing modular, option-based wiring harnesses (Main Cab, Engine, Chassis, Sleeper) using Mentor Graphics (Logic, Harness XC, Modular XC, Integrator, Library) and PTC Creo, specifying connectors, fuses, relays, cables, splices, and bundle sizing for automotive packaging.

2. 5 years of experience in designing low and high-voltage vehicle electrical architectures across ICE, BEV, and FCEV platforms, including HV shielding, isolation, grounding strategies, EMI/EMC mitigation, thermal/clearance planning, and DFMA assessments with cross-functional packaging reviews.

3. 5 years of experience in product lifecycle management including authoring ECRs/ECNs, managing BOMs and variation data, performing Creo View publishing and drawing comparisons, and executing controlled releases with documented integrity checks and standards conformance.

4. 2 years of experience in Python-based automation and AI-driven engineering data intelligence, including building production-grade tools (2D/3D comparison, VIN-driven variation models), bridge-file architectures, and connector/wire/pin-mapping across OEM datasets using VS Code.

5. 5 years of experience in DFSS and Lean process engineering using VOC, QFD, MSA, Fishbone, 5 Why, 3C, and Swimlane, with Microsoft 365 (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to build production workflows, gate checklists, and error-proofing steps.

6. 2 years of project management experience leading offshore teams with accountability for deliverables using Project Management Institute-aligned practices, including effort estimation, resource/financial planning, and coordination across cross-functional international teams, collaborating with internal and external partners.

7. 2 years of experience in Agile and requirements analysis facilitation, including translating business needs into Epics, user stories, and PRDs, managing backlogs, resolving requirement gaps, supporting UAT, and leading Agile ceremonies across product, dev, and QA teams. Experience may be gained concurrently.
