Job Description

Leidos is seeking a Manager of Transmission Line Engineering to lead a high-performing team delivering transmission projects for critical infrastructure clients. In this role, you will oversee the design and analysis of high-voltage transmission lines, ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards, and drive quality across all engineering deliverables. You will manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and risks while mentoring engineers and coordinating with internal IT, cyber, and analytics teams. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of transmission line engineers delivering complex projects Oversee design, analysis, and review of high-voltage transmission line projects Ensure compliance with NESC, IEEE, and relevant utility and regulatory standards Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and risk across multiple concurrent efforts Coordinate with internal IT, cyber, and analytics teams to integrate advanced tools and workflows Interface with utility, government, and commercial clients to understand requirements and provide technical leadership Drive quality assurance, documentation, and best practices across all engineering deliverables Support business development through technical input to proposals and client presentations Required Skills Transmission line design Power systems engineering Auto CAD or PLS-CADDElectrical engineering principles Project management Team leadership Budgeting and scheduling Utility and regulatory standards (NESC, IEEE) Risk and quality management Client and stakeholder communication
