Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Hotel Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance and engineering operations of our property. In this vital role, you will oversee all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Your leadership will drive the maintenance team to deliver exceptional facilities management, uphold safety regulations, and maintain a comfortable environment for guests and staff alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise and management skills in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the facilities maintenance team to ensure efficient operation of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs following maintenance repair procedures to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Manage facilities maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order tracking, inventory control, and reporting. Troubleshoot engineering issues using schematics, electrical testing tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment. Oversee repairs of HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), plumbing systems, and mechanical systems to ensure safety and operational standards are met. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and conduct regular safety audits to promote a safe working environment. Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades or renovations while managing budgets, timelines, and contractor relationships. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, safety checks, and system performance for regulatory compliance. Foster a culture of teamwork, leadership, and continuous improvement within the engineering department. Requirements Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance or engineering teams within a hospitality or industrial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high voltage), plumbing systems, and mechanical equipment. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, industrial maintenance practices, and troubleshooting engineering issues. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations along with experience implementing safety procedures across facilities operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes. Experience managing facilities maintenance teams using CMMS platforms for work order management. Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals related to electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing networks, and mechanical systems repair. Excellent leadership skills with a track record of supervising teams effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills in English for clear coordination with team members, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies. Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
