Provide guidance on all design, engineering and technical matters. Monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with established programs, procedures and technical accuracy of engineering deliverables & support services. Also reviews project progress, manages resources & provides expertise.
Responsibilities:
Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures. Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities. Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects. Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment. Direct, review, and approve product design and changes. Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence. Performs other related duties as required.Other Requirements:
4 year degree in Engineering, Material Science related field or equivalent 5-7 years related management experience Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge to new systems to develop quality controls Knowledge and practice of lean principles & Six Sigma Must possess ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Using mathematics to solve problems. Critical Thinking- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
