+ Benefits A fast-growing, Texas-based utility-scale solar and battery storage developer is seeking a Senior Transmission Planning Manager to lead a merged interconnection and transmission planning function supporting a rapidly expanding project pipeline across ERCOT and MISO, including a 600MW+ solar project currently moving toward construction. This is a newly created role born out of genuine growth, with a clear runway toward a Director-level position for the right candidate. Every project in the pipeline runs through this team, giving you visibility and influence across the full development lifecycle and a meaningful, project-based bonus structure tied to that impact. What you'll do Manage, track, and support the full project portfolio across all lifecycle phases, coordinating with TSPs, ISOs, internal teams, and consultants Conduct and supervise power flow modeling, interconnection analyses, economic assessments, and utility coordination Supervise transmission analysis to evaluate constraints, congestion, curtailment risk, and basis risk Lead review and negotiation of interconnection agreements, including technical exhibits and commercial terms Oversee preliminary design and development of single-line diagrams for interconnections Develop and track schedules and milestones alongside the broader project development team Monitor engineering, procurement, and construction of interconnection facilities, leading related coordination calls Represent the organization at ISO meetings, briefing leadership on developments affecting the pipeline Support ISO, NERC, and FERC compliance efforts What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (power systems focus preferred) 5+ years of experience in transmission planning, market analysis, or a related area within the power industry 3+ years of hands-on experience with PowerWorld, PSSE, PLEXOS, TARA, or similar power flow/PCM software Familiarity with ERCOT and MISO interconnection processes strongly preferred; strong candidates from other ISOs will still be considered A self-starter mentality with the confidence to figure things out and move fast Excellent written and verbal communication skills Why this role A newly created position with a clear, genuine path to Director as the team and pipeline grow Meaningful bonus upside tied to project deliver historically worth $50,000+ annually on top of base salary Touch every project in the pipeline, giving you outsized visibility with senior leadership A close-knit, high-energy, entrepreneurial culture that values communication and collaboration as much as technical skill Competitive benefits package including health/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and PTO Interested?
