Vice President of Construction Executive Leadership Opportunity | Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas Build the Future of Mechanical Construction in North Texas Encore Mechanical is seeking an accomplished and visionary Vice President of Construction to lead operations, drive strategic growth, and strengthen our position as one of the premier mechanical contractors in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. This is more than an operations leadership role. We are looking for an executive who can help shape company strategy, cultivate key industry relationships, develop high-performing teams, and deliver exceptional results across a growing portfolio of commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and mission-critical projects. Renowned for our expertise in Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems and complex mechanical installations, Encore Mechanical continues to expand throughout one of the nation's most dynamic construction markets. This leader will play a pivotal role in guiding that growth while upholding our commitment to excellence, innovation, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position reports directly to the President and serves as a key member of the executive leadership team. What You'll Do Strategic Leadership & Business Growth Develop and execute strategies that drive sustainable growth and expand market share throughout North Texas Strengthen and leverage relationships with general contractors, developers, owners, engineers, and industry partners Identify market opportunities, emerging trends, and strategic initiatives that support long-term business objectives Represent Encore Mechanical at industry organizations, networking events, and executive-level client engagements Partner with company leadership to establish and execute the organization's vision and growth strategy Operational Excellence Provide executive oversight of project management and field operations teams Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, profitably, and with the highest standards of quality Review project performance, manpower planning, schedules, budgets, and risk management initiatives Drive operational consistency and implement best practices across all departments Lead initiatives that improve productivity, project delivery, and customer satisfaction Financial Performance & Risk Management Oversee portfolio-level financial performance, forecasting, and resource allocation Monitor project margins, job cost reporting, cash flow, and operational KPIs Support major contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and subcontractors Collaborate with executive leadership on budgeting, business planning, and long-term financial strategies Ensure responsible growth while protecting profitability and operational efficiency Leadership Development & Culture Build, mentor, and develop high-performing leaders across project management and field operations Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and ownership Champion employee engagement, talent development, succession planning, and workforce retention initiatives Partner with recruiting efforts to attract top construction and operations talent Lead by example and reinforce Encore's commitment to safety, ethics, and operational excellence What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within mechanical construction Demonstrated success overseeing large-scale commercial or industrial mechanical projects Strong business acumen with experience managing operational and financial performance Proven ability to lead diverse teams and drive results across multiple projects and departments Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and leadership skills Experience managing project portfolios, forecasting, manpower planning, and strategic initiatives Preferred Qualifications Established reputation and strong industry relationships throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth construction market Experience with HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems construction Significant experience with VRF systems and related technologies Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline Experience participating in executive-level strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives Why Join Encore Mechanical?
