Job Description

Bring your engineering leadership to a facility-based role in Sugar Land, TX where custom design and manufacturing work directly fuels growth, innovation, and customer-focused product development. This Engineering Director opportunity reports to the President and builds out the R D function while leading technology roadmaps for instrument transformers and medium-/low-voltage electrical-grid products. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Engineering Director position include: 10+ years of senior engineering management experience in a custom design and manufacturing environment; instrument transformer experience strongly preferred BS in Engineering required; Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred, advanced degree a plus Experience with Lean, change management, talent development, and multi-site/global operations Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Project and Visio Develop and execute the engineering department's strategic vision and objectives aligned to company goals Lead, mentor, and manage Product Engineering and Doc Control functions, including team leads Build a defined R D organization, implement the innovation process, and manage technology roadmaps Ensure products and processes comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant certifications
Salary:
$170,000 base + 15-20% target bonus; bonus payout ranges from 50-200% based on company performance, with the prior year paying at 200% per year, commensurate with experience.
