This role is the connective layer between Tesla's operational teams and the regulatory, policy, and technology landscape that shapes their work. Rather than managing individual programs or operational workflows, this role identifies emerging regulatory changes, policy shifts, and industry developments — assesses their cross-functional impact on the business — and creates structured implementation plans for the organization to execute. The role also owns evaluation and strategy for external technology partnerships, determining when and how Tesla should integrate with, build around, or replace external platforms and tools. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in clean energy regulatory environments, strong technical fluency, and a track record of translating ambiguous, cross-cutting problems into scoped, actionable plans. This is a high-autonomy, cross-organizational role that involves collaboration with operations, engineering, partnerships, product, marketing, and senior leadership.
