2989937571-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Data Center Design Manager to lead end-to-end design for a regional portfolio of AWS data centers. You will own power, cooling, and layout strategies, drive scalable and resilient architectures, and guide consultants and vendors through design cycles. Partner with operations, capacity planning, and construction teams to meet performance, cost, and sustainability goals. You will apply data-driven decision making, manage risk, review detailed technical drawings, and mentor designers while thriving in AWS's fast-paced, customer-obsessed environment. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end regional data center design from concept to handoff Define and optimize power, cooling, and space layouts for scalability and resiliency Coordinate with construction, operations, and capacity planning teams Manage external consultants, engineers, and vendors to AWS standards Review and approve detailed design drawings and specifications Drive cost, schedule, and quality trade-offs using data-driven analysis Identify and mitigate technical and operational design risks Ensure compliance with codes, safety, and AWS reliability requirements Contribute to and improve global design standards and best practices Mentor junior designers and foster a culture of high engineering bar Required Skills Data center design Power and cooling systems Capacity planning Project management Auto CAD/Revit or similar CAD tools Vendor and contractor management Risk assessment Cost estimation and budgeting Technical documentation Cross-functional collaboration
