Project Overview:

Job Summary:

In this role, you will plan, develop, coordinate and review plant design and piping work on large projects having specialized requirements. You will optimize facility layout based on diagrams, client needs, current technology, and operational and maintenance requirements. Your technical input will ensure configuration compliance, procurement requirements are met, and complex issues are resolved. _"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Major Responsibilities:

+ Plans, develops, coordinates and reviews plant design and piping engineering work on a medium size project or assignment in support of a global business unit​ + Develops conceptual designs for plant design and piping projects or projects having specialized or unique requirements​ + Examines and analyzes pipe configurations for

ANSI/ASME

code compliance​. Interprets new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data​ + Optimizes facility layout based on piping and instrument diagrams, client requirements, current technology, and operational and maintenance requirements​ + Provides the technical input to meet procurement requirements​ + Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and supports implementation and assists with performance reporting​ + Reviews and approves key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders, for the project to which assigned​ + Mentors plant design and piping personnel by providing on-the-job training for their professional development​. Provides input to and participates in special technical educational and training programs as directed​ + Examines and analyzes pipe configurations for

Education and Experience Requirements:

+ Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience + Must be authorized to live and work in the US without sponsorship. + Willingness to travel on business trips and/or relocate to jobsite in support of projects. #

Required Knowledge and Skills:

+ Previous experience coordinating with AOR/EOR entities on a large scale industrial facilities project. + Experience acting as technical liaison between the client and engineering execution teams + Experience developing, managing, and maintaining BIM models with defined LOD specifications (LOD 100-500) for the engineering discipline of Plant Design and Piping. + Experience with 3d-modeling of complex piping systems, pipe supports, and modeling of mechanical equipment for a large industrial manufacturing facility (semiconductor fabs or data centers) project. + Sound knowledge of CAD design and drafting techniques, engineering drawings, graphic arts, reading of drawings, and reproduction methods used by the discipline. + Advanced experience in the use of 3d Modeling tools; AutoCAD Revit and Navisworks. + Experience with multi discipline interface management and global 3D model oversight. + Expertise in reading, interpreting, and using related documents and drawings prepared by other project groups. + Excellent listening, oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills are essential. #

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Prior work experience and responsibility for the supervision on a medium or major size project in engineering management at Bechtel. + Previous modularization, OSM, modular piping design project execution experience. + Knowledge of Bechtel Engineering Department Procedures. + Prior experience in planning and executing greenfield or brownfield projects in one or more of the following market segments: Semiconductor, Data Center, Electric Vehicle, or EV Battery. #
