Engineering Program Manager Virginia Beach, VA Job Details Full-time $107,185 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Project management tools Procurement Engineering Regulatory compliance Mid-level Electrical engineering Master's degree Driver's License Engineer in Training Bachelor's degree in engineering Bachelor's degree Public utility experience GIS software Quality engineering Local building codes Master's degree in engineering 4 years Professional Engineer Regulatory compliance management E & I Full Job Description Work Schedule and Other Information Monday to Friday 8AM to 5PM Brief Description Under broad guidance, the Engineering Program Manager is responsible for managing the Regional Hydraulic Model (RHM), performing hydraulic analyses to evaluate existing and future infrastructure, serving as a liaison between HRSD, Localities, and the Development Community, reviewing proposed development within the HRSD Territory, and managing capital improvement projects in support of the CIP and strategic planning efforts. Typical programs to manage include but are not limited to: Regional Hydraulic Model, Regulatory Compliance, Metro & Small Communities Development Services, Federal Facilities, and Design Standards. Detailed Description Job Requirements Education Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university Desired Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited university Experience Required Experience using quality engineering principles, modeling software, and project management tools while managing multiple concurrent projects. Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the design and operation of water/wastewater infrastructure, to include hydraulic modeling, development review, and project management. Experience in hydraulic modeling and project management of utility infrastructure projects in the stormwater, water, or wastewater industry. Desired Relevant engineering experience in design and construction relating to operation and maintenance of sewerage facilities and experience with building code interpretation and enforcement for construction Experience with GIS and knowledge of pumping systems and hydraulics. Working knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems as applicable to treatment processes and pumping systems Experience with public procurement of Professional Services firms Licenses and Certifications Requirements Required Valid driver's license from state of residence Engineer In Training (EIT) Desired Valid Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) License (or ability to obtain through reciprocity within six (6) months of hire) Additional Details HRSD is committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
