Manufacturing Engineer Planner

Electrical Wiring & Installation Planning

Renton, WA

$40.02

  • $48.88/Hour

    We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Planner
  • Electrical Wiring & Installation Planning to support aerospace manufacturing by developing, revising, and maintaining electrical wiring installation plans and manufacturing documentation.

This role focuses on electrical manufacturing engineering, producibility analysis, installation planning, EWITS, CAPPII, CMES, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve production issues and improve factory execution.

Responsibilities:

Process Production Action Requests (PARs) within the Electrical Wiring Information Tracking System (EWITS).

Perform producibility reviews and release LCC() engineering changes, including Production Illustration Revision Records (PIRRs) as required.

Create, revise, and maintain Out-of-Sequence Installation Plans (OSIPs) supporting Engineering and Planning releases.

Update and maintain installation plans using Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPPII).

Revise manufacturing work instructions within the Common Manufacturing Execution System (CMES).

Reallocate wire bundles and Logical Manufacturing Interfaces (LMIs) to support emergent production requirements.

Verify the accuracy and quality of manufacturing work instructions, bills of material (BOMs), and engineering illustrations.

Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineers, Shop Investigators, and cross-functional teams to support production objectives.

Investigate and resolve manufacturing and producibility issues affecting factory operations.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and production readiness.

Qualifications:

Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.

Experience supporting manufacturing engineering processes and installation planning.

Familiarity with engineering change management and manufacturing documentation.

Knowledge of production planning, work instructions, bills of material, and electrical installation processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
Mid-Level:

3+ years of related manufacturing engineering or production planning experience.

Senior Level:

6+ years of related manufacturing engineering or production planning experience.

Experience using manufacturing engineering and planning systems, including:

Product Data Manager (PDM)

Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP/CAPPII)

Reference Engineering Data Automated Retrieval System (REDARS)

Wire Integration Retrieval System (WIRS)

Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing environments.

Bachelors degree with 1+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
