Job Description
EPAM is seeking a
- VP, NYM Market Leader
- , to take immediate ownership of a portfolio of clients across the New York Metro (NYM) region within the Northeast Business Unit.
The region spans northern and central New Jersey, New York City, Long Island, Westchester County, southwestern Connecticut, and parts of Eastern Pennsylvania. This is a hands-on commercial leadership role for someone who can step in and lead an established portfolio from day one - deepening and expanding existing accounts while originating and closing significant new business. The successful candidate will combine the instincts of a hunter with the discipline of a portfolio operator and will be equally credible in the boardroom and in a solution discussion.
- Success Metrics
- + Deliver consistent, profitable annual growth across the NYM portfolio + Originate and close a steady cadence of major new clients each year + Establish strong, repeatable go-to-market execution across the region + Drive proactive account growth through disciplined account management + Build and retain a high-performing team of client partners Req# 1071143579
- Responsibilities
- + Own the performance and growth of the NYM portfolio, with an immediate revenue base in the $40-60M range across a set of established and emerging accounts.
Drive consistent, profitable annual growth across the portfolio, setting and executing the account and market strategy for the region
+ Lead disciplined account management across a team of client partners, driving proactive growth within existing clients. Personally engage in the most strategic client relationships and pursuits. Expand EPAM's footprint within large enterprise accounts to increase share of wallet and elevate the relationship from project-based work to enterprise partnership
+ Personally originate and close significant new logos across the region, targeting organizations with the potential to scale into major long-term accounts. Lead strategic pursuits end to end — from origination through solutioning to close — and set the standard for new-business discipline across the team
+ Lead and develop a team of 4-5 client partners, with dedicated sales and local delivery matrixed in. Set clear expectations, coach for growth and hunting performance, and orchestrate the account, sales, and delivery functions into a single, high-performing commercial motion
+ Partner with the matrixed sales organization to build and convert a strong pipeline. Establish consistent go-to-market rigor across the region, including account planning, pipeline development, and cross-selling of EPAM's full range of capabilities. Position EPAM's global engineering and consulting capabilities to differentiate in competitive pursuits
+ Partner closely with local and regional delivery leadership to ensure tight alignment between business development and delivery execution. Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and delivery quality, and ensure delivery excellence underpins long-term account growth
+ Drive joint go-to-market efforts with EPAM's key strategic partners, including the major cloud and platform providers (AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud, Databricks, Salesforce and others), and leverage partner channels as a meaningful source of pipeline and revenue
+ Represent EPAM within the NYM business and technology community. Build and leverage relationships with clients, partners, and local organizations to strengthen EPAM's presence across the region. External visibility through events and industry engagement is a strong plus
- Requirements
- + 12-18+ years in IT services, consulting, or digital engineering organizations + Demonstrated success owning and growing a portfolio in the $40-60M+ range, with clear evidence of both expanding existing accounts and originating net-new business + Background in firms such as Accenture, Cognizant, Slalom, Globant, Publicis Sapient, Thoughtworks, EPAM, or similar engineering-led organizations + Proven track record of growing strategic accounts and winning new enterprise clients in a complex, solution-led sales environment + Genuine hunter profile — a leader who personally originates and closes new business, not solely a farmer of existing accounts + Experience leading complex deals and managing executive-level client relationships + Strong command of partner-driven sales models + Experience selling and delivering the type of work EPAM does — custom software engineering, digital and product engineering, data and AI, and complex digital transformation + This is not an outsourcing, managed-services, staff-augmentation, or infrastructure-operations profile; candidates whose careers are rooted in those models are unlikely to fit + A track record across multiple industries rather than deep concentration in any single vertical + Preference for experience in manufacturing and distribution, with additional value from measured exposure to public sector, electrical utilities, and technology + Breadth across the middle-market and enterprise "white space" is more valuable than depth in any one sector + Ability to lead and develop a team of client partners while orchestrating matrixed sales and delivery resources + Executive presence and gravitas appropriate to a VP-level, client-facing leadership role + Self-directed operator who can step into an established portfolio and lead it from day one + Must reside in the NYM metro area, with an established local network across the region.
This role depends on existing relationships and market presence; it is not open to relocation.
