THE OPPORTUNITY

The Vice President of Project Management is a senior leader responsible for the strategic direction, performance, and integration of Project Management, Engineering, and Materials/Procurement functions. What makes this particularly compelling is the opportunity to move beyond simply managing projects and help shape the business -building teams, establishing scalable processes, driving financial performance, and influencing the company's next phase of national growth. The Vice President of Project Management will report directly to the CEO. Reporting into this role will be Engineering, Materials, Project Management and field teams. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Project Manager or Director to step up into the Vice President level role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide executive oversight of the entire project portfolio, ensuring successful execution from contract award through closeout. Own portfolio financial performance, including revenue delivery, gross margin, and change order strategy and approval. Oversee the Project Management function, driving disciplined project controls, change management, and schedule adherence. Oversee the Engineering department, ensuring timely, accurate, and constructible submittals aligned with fabrication and field requirements. Oversee the Materials and Procurement strategy, including vendor management, cost control, vendor performance, and mitigation of supply chain risk. Ensure early identification and release of long-lead materials, protecting schedules and financial performance. Drive cross-functional alignment between Project Management, Engineering, Materials/Procurement, and Field teams to ensure seamless execution. Establish and enforce standardized processes and performance metrics across all project-related functions. Oversee commercial risk management, including contract review, claims strategy, and executive-level dispute resolution. Maintain executive relationships with key clients and partners, supporting major pursuits and strategic negotiations. Implement systems and reporting infrastructure that provide real-time visibility into project health, risk exposure, and financial performance. Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to overall business strategy and operational performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

15+ years of experience in self-perform commercial construction. 8+ years in senior leadership overseeing multi-project portfolios. Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L performance. Proven ability to scale systems and teams in an organization. Assertiveness. Ability to drive change. Strong leadership ability.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. MBA or advanced business education. Experience with ERP systems, BIM workflows, and enterprise project controls.

This position can be based out of Milwaukee, Las Vegas OR San Diego.
