About Us Sipsas Excavating is a growing excavation and trucking company specializing in commercial sitework, grading, utilities, demolition, and material hauling. We handle both private and public projects and take pride in running efficient, well-managed job sites. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who understands excavation from the ground up — someone who can operate equipment, manage crews, and accurately dissect project blueprints Position Overview This is a hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate has real field experience operating heavy equipment and the ability to manage projects and crews from initial bid through final completion. You will be responsible for coordinating crews and equipment, maintaining schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and on budget. Responsibilities Review plans, specs, and bid documents Manage projects from contract award to closeout Schedule crews, subcontractors, trucks, and equipment Communicate with owners, general contractors, and inspectors Monitor job costs, production rates, and profitability Ensure safety compliance on all job sites Operate heavy equipment when needed Problem-solve field issues efficiently Qualifications 5+ years of excavation/sitework experience Proven experience operating heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, etc.) Experience managing a construction job site start to finish Experience estimating earthwork, utilities, and site development projects Ability to read blueprints and construction plans Strong organizational and leadership skills Knowledge of DOT/public works projects is a plus Valid driver's license What We're Looking For Self-motivated and accountable Strong decision-maker Field-first mindset (not just office experience) Understands production, equipment costs, and job efficiency Long-term team player who wants to grow with the company Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Performance bonuses Company vehicle (based on role) Opportunity for growth into senior leadership Pay range is from $35/hr to $45/hr+ based on experience.
