Description:

This position will help drive 5S and MDI (daily management) activity across all of our manufacturing processes. The CI intern will also support continuous improvement projects (Six Sigma, Kaizen, 8D) through data collection, statistical analysis and other problem-solving activities. This is intended to be a hands-on position where a majority of their time will be spent in our production facilities.

Projects to include:
  • Improving shop safety and productivity through 5S (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) activities
  • Implementing SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) daily management tracking and sustainment
  • Rapid problem solving using the 8D and Kaizen toolsets
  • Collecting and analyzing data using Six Sigma methodology
Requirements:

Individuals working on Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Materials/Metallurgical degrees with a minimum junior status preferred.
