Jenkins Restorations prioritizes reducing client stress while securing properties and guiding them through the full restoration process. Role Description The Mitigation Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Colorado Springs, CO. This role is responsible for responding to property damage events, assessing the scope of damage, and performing mitigation services such as water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation support, and debris removal. The technician documents site conditions, takes photos, and records measurements to support accurate reporting and estimates. Daily work includes operating mitigation equipment, maintaining a clean and safe jobsite, communicating professionally with customers and team members, and following company procedures and safety standards. The role may require participation in an on-call rotation, working in varying environmental conditions, and assisting with emergency response efforts at any hour. Qualifications Hands-on skills in property damage mitigation, including water extraction, structural drying, and basic demolition tasks. Ability to safely operate mitigation equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, extractors, hand tools) and follow safety protocols. Strong observational and documentation skills, including taking accurate measurements, photos, and detailed notes. Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and clearly with clients and team members. Physical ability to lift and move equipment and materials, work in confined or elevated spaces, and perform tasks for extended periods. Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Colorado Springs, CO area and willingness to participate in on-call schedules. High school diploma or equivalent; mitigation, restoration, or construction experience is preferred. IICRC or similar restoration certification is beneficial but not required; willingness to complete company-provided training is expected.
