This position coordinates customers, insurance professionals, technicians, subcontractors, and vendors while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. Senior lead technician serves as the primary point of contact for assigned projects and is accountable for customer satisfaction, accurate documentation, project financial performance, and quality of work. Key Responsibilities Respond to and manage residential and commercial water, fire, smoke, and mold losses. Inspect affected properties, identify damage, and establish the appropriate scope of work. Coordinate emergency mitigation, drying, demolition, contents handling, cleaning, remediation, and related restoration activities. Create and review estimates using Xactimate or similar estimating software. Maintain accurate job documentation, including photographs, moisture readings, drying logs, work authorizations, notes, invoices, and supporting documentation. Communicate regularly with property owners, insurance adjusters, agents, property managers, and other stakeholders. Schedule and supervise technicians, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and materials. Monitor job progress and ensure projects remain on schedule. Track project costs, labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overall job profitability. Prepare supplements and change orders when additional damage or required work is identified. Ensure technicians and subcontractors follow approved scopes, company standards, and safety requirements. Conduct job-site inspections and quality-control checks. Address customer concerns and resolve project issues professionally and promptly. Coordinate with reconstruction teams when repairs are required after mitigation or remediation. Maintain compliance with applicable IICRC standards, OSHA requirements, and local regulations. Participate in an emergency/on-call rotation when required. Complete project documentation and obtain customer approval/sign-off before closing jobs. Qualifications Experience in restoration, construction, mitigation, insurance claims, or project management preferred. Knowledge of water mitigation, structural drying, fire/smoke restoration, and mold remediation. Experience with Xactimate or similar estimating software preferred. Strong organizational and project-management skills. Strong customer-service and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously. 1 Ability to communicate effectively with homeowners, commercial clients, insurance adjusters, technicians, and subcontractors. Understanding of job costing, budgets, margins, and project profitability. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites. Ability to respond effectively in emergency and time-sensitive situations. Work Environment This position combines office-based project management with frequent field work at residential and commercial properties. Projects may involve water-damaged structures, fire and smoke damage, mold contaminated environments, demolition activities, construction areas, and emergency-loss conditions. Evening, weekend, or after-hours availability may occasionally be required due to the emergency nature of the restoration industry.
