An Environmental Engineer develops solutions to environmental problems using engineering, biology, chemistry, and geology. Addresses pollution control, waste disposal, recycling, or public health issues. Works on local environmental issues, such as polluted groundwater, or global or regional issues, such as acid rain. Works with environmental scientists and public policymakers to identify problems and develop technologies that benefit people and protect the environment.

Support Environmental standard and policy implementation

Perform proposed operational change Environmental impact assessments including direction feedback to requestor

Develop and propose permit strategy to support proposed projects and operational changes

Complete permit applications on behalf of manufacturing sites and/or LDS sites

Support environmental functions related to EEMS requirements and confirm understanding by local environmental support

Requirements:
  • This activity is supporting manufacturing and non-manufacturing sites on the highly regulated west coast including California & Oregon.
  • Bachelor's Degree - Science related field (Environmental/ Biology, Chemical etc).
  • We work with Production Engineering groups that deploy changes/ modifications/ and launches at each site. Any modifications with capital investment from client, requires an environmental assessment. Our role is to evaluate the project and check.
  • We evaluate every environmental impact such as stormwater impact, wastewater impact, chemical impact, etc.
  • If there is an impact, we have to get a permit depending on what that it is.
  • California is big on regulatory policies. Lots of monitoring on regulatory changes and making sure we can meet those compliances. Added bonus if you have (Preferred):
  • Preferred Automotive industry.
  • Experience with California regulations
