Environmental Engineer - Contract Opportunity | Georgetown, KY | $50-$53/Hour Reliance One is seeking an Environmental Engineer for a contract opportunity supporting environmental compliance initiatives across manufacturing and non-manufacturing operations. This role will focus on environmental impact assessments, permitting, regulatory compliance, and supporting engineering projects and operational changes across highly regulated locations.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Support implementation of environmental standards, policies, and compliance programs
• Conduct environmental impact assessments for proposed projects and operational changes
• Evaluate potential impacts involving stormwater, wastewater, chemicals, and other environmental considerations
• Provide environmental guidance and recommendations to engineering and project teams
• Develop permitting strategies for capital projects, facility modifications, and operational changes
• Prepare and complete environmental permit applications
• Support environmental compliance activities for manufacturing and non-manufacturing locations
• Monitor regulatory requirements and help ensure operations remain compliant with applicable environmental regulations
• Support environmental management system requirements and provide guidance to local environmental teams
• Partner with Production Engineering and other cross-functional teams supporting facility changes, modifications, and new launches

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science field
• Experience with environmental compliance, permitting, or environmental impact assessments
• Understanding of environmental regulations affecting manufacturing or industrial operations
• Knowledge of areas such as stormwater, wastewater, chemical management, and environmental permitting
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to evaluate proposed projects and provide clear environmental compliance recommendations

Preferred Experience:

• Environmental experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience supporting capital projects, facility modifications, or production launches
• Experience navigating environmental regulations in highly regulated states, particularly California and Oregon
• Experience preparing or supporting environmental permit applications The ideal Environmental Engineer is detail-oriented, knowledgeable about environmental regulations, and comfortable partnering with engineering and operations teams to evaluate projects and develop practical compliance solutions.
