Full-Time | OnsiteOverviewOur client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and sustainment of environmental test solutions used for thermal, vibration, and environmental stress screening (ESS) applications.This position will work within a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for developing advanced test systems that validate the performance and reliability of mission-critical hardware. The ideal candidate will have experience designing cooling and vibration systems, supporting test environments, and collaborating with customers to develop engineering solutions that meet complex testing requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and support cooling systems, vibration systems, and environmental test equipment.
Support Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), thermal testing, and vibration testing initiatives.
Collaborate with internal and external customers to gather requirements and develop technical solutions.
Evaluate customer needs and translate requirements into effective test system designs.
Develop and maintain technical design specifications and supporting documentation.
Create and modify mechanical designs using CAD tools such as Siemens NXSupport integration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of environmental test systems.
Determine schedules, resource requirements, and levels of effort needed to achieve program objectives.
Communicate technical solutions, capabilities, challenges, and risks to engineering teams, leadership, and customers.
Participate in design reviews, technical assessments, and engineering evaluations.
Support hardware integration and system-level testing activities. Required Qualifications Must have Mechanical Design experience with Siemens NX Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience, OR Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of experience. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship required. Minimum 5 years of experience developing and maintaining engineering design specifications. Minimum 5 years of experience using Siemens NX Minimum 5 years of experience supporting the design, maintenance, or repair of cooling and vibration test systems. Minimum 3 years of experience interpreting electrical schematics and interconnect diagrams. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline. Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). Experience designing cooling systems utilizing refrigerant-based and/or liquid cooling technologies. Experience integrating complex hardware systems. Experience working with
