Senior Air Quality Specialist / Engineer -

Description A leading environmental services team is seeking a Senior Air Quality Specialist/Engineer to lead air permitting and compliance services across industrial, power, commercial, transportation, and manufacturing sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects within a growing environmental practice, providing technical leadership while supporting client relationships and project delivery. Responsibilities Lead air permitting and compliance projects across multiple industries Provide technical leadership on air quality impact analyses and project execution Prepare and review air permit application packages Perform and oversee emission calculations and estimates Conduct air dispersion modeling using tools such as AERMOD Support multi-media environmental compliance reporting (SPCC, SWPPP, EPCRA, etc.) Develop proposals including scope, cost estimates, and schedules Support and grow client relationships and business development efforts Mentor and guide junior staff Lead technical report writing and regulatory documentation Support QA/QC compliance and ensure adherence to safety standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field 7-8+ years of experience in air quality permitting, compliance, or environmental consulting Strong experience with Clean Air Act regulations and permitting requirements Experience with air dispersion modeling (AERMOD preferred) Consulting experience preferred Strong technical writing and communication skills Experience with environmental compliance programs and audits Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage projects and work collaboratively across teams
