Job Description
The Lead Technician position is responsible for overseeing and performing remediation tasks across water, mold, biohazard (including trauma), and fire mitigation projects. This role leads assigned crews, ensures work is completed to company and industry standards, and monitors compliance with safety, insurance, and documentation requirements. Lead Technicians coordinate project activities, provide direction to technicians, and prepare accurate notes, photos, and reports. Serving as the primary on-site representative, the Lead Technician upholds brand standards through professionalism, customer communication, and quality project execution. This position reports to the Project Manager. Key Responsibilities Review work orders, confirm travel route, and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are loaded before departing to the job site. Lead and supervise remediation projects (water, mold, biohazard/trauma, fire) in accordance with company procedures, including extraction, debris removal, demolition, and cleaning. Communicate clearly with customers, explaining the remediation process, sequence of work, and progress updates. Oversee daily project activities, including monitoring, moisture mapping, and documentation, ensuring compliance with insurance and industry guidelines. Inspect completed work, verify quality standards, and obtain customer approval and sign-off. Prepare thorough documentation, including moisture readings, atmospheric data, and photos, in alignment with company and insurance requirements. Utilize project tracking software (e.g., Restore 365, MICA) effectively for accurate reporting and job management. Provide guidance and training to technicians in remediation processes and best practices. Maintain project safety standards and ensure proper use of PPE by all team members. Other duties as assigned.
