Job Description
Akkodis is seeking an experienced SOX IT General Controls (ITGC) Remediation Lead to support a critical audit remediation initiative following a recently completed IT controls assessment. Ernst & Young (EY) conducted the audit, and PwC will partner with the organization to remediate identified findings. This consultant will serve as the primary liaison between PwC, IT leadership, business stakeholders, and control owners to coordinate remediation activities, monitor progress, manage timelines, and help ensure successful closure of audit findings. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of SOX compliance, IT General Controls, risk management, and cross-functional project leadership. This is a highly visible engagement requiring exceptional stakeholder management, organization, and communication skills.
Pay Range:
$90-110/HR Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of coordination for allSOX ITGC
remediation activities. Partner closely with PwC consultants, audit teams, control owners, and technology leaders to develop and execute remediation plans. Track remediation activities, dependencies, milestones, risks, and target completion dates. Facilitate meetings, status reviews, working sessions, and executive updates. Ensure remediation efforts are appropriately documented and aligned with audit requirements. Monitor progress against remediation plans and escalate delays or risks when necessary. Coordinate evidence collection and validation activities to support remediation testing and closure. Work with control owners to define sustainable control improvements and process enhancements. Assist with governance reporting, dashboards, and communication of remediation status to leadership. Support preparation for re-testing activities and audit follow-up reviews. Drive accountability across multiple stakeholders to ensure timely completion of remediation commitments. Qualifications 5+ years of experience supporting SOX compliance, IT audit, IT risk, internal controls, or IT governance initiatives. Experience leading audit remediation programs or managing IT control improvement efforts. Strong understanding of SOX IT General Controls (ITGCs), control frameworks, and risk management principles. Experience collaborating with Big Four consulting firms (PwC, EY, Deloitte, KPMG) on audit or remediation activities. Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects involving technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills. Experience preparing executive-level status reporting and remediation tracking. Ability to operate independently and drive initiatives to completion. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience supporting Eublic company SOX compliance programs. Background in Internal Audit, IT Audit, IT Risk Management, Cybersecurity Governance, or Controls Management. Familiarity with COBIT, COSO, NIST, or related control frameworks.
