Come Join an Inclusive Team This environmental position will report to the HSSE manager. This position will support all environmental media (air, water, and waste) for CLCS site. For the waste and water requirements, you will be required to work closely with the Waste and Water Engineer from the ongoing HRO operations. In addition, you will be responsible for the implementation of the facility's environmental management systems, procedures, and processes. Being on-call for emergencies will be required.

A Day in the Life
  • Manages/Performs assigned air, water, and waste environmental tasks at the site.
  • Manages/Prepares permit applications, pays fees, submits reports, submits emission inventory, etc.
  • Interprets federal, state, and local rules and their interrelationships to the facility.
  • Manges/Performs emissions calculations for emission sources and emissions events.
  • Manages/Participates in spill, release, and emissions event/incident investigations.
  • Manages/Participates in agency inspections/investigations/audits and assists with preparing responses.
  • Perform environmental training of the workforce.
  • Performs Environmental On-Call duties several weeks a year.
  • Responds to after hours and weekend incidents, even when not on-call.
  • Functions as an environmental contact for the site.
  • Prepare and deliver environmental reports and presentations.
  • May attend local trade association and community action panel (CAP) meetings.
You Bring This Value Work Experience
  • 2-6 years of experience in the environmental field at a refinery and/or petrochemical site.
  • 2-6 years of experience in communicating with State and Federal Agencies.
  • Experience with notification to agencies, e.g., e-Notify, CAER, and STEERS.
  • Environmental experience in all media (air, water, waste) a plus
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in
Engineering/Science Skills:
  • Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have good technical/engineering skills, and ability to make objective decisions.
