At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are innovating with new technologies to address global environmental challenges. The Environmental Digital Engineer will work within the AWS Environmental team and focus on the application of cloud computing technologies to develop solutions that significantly reduce impacts on the environment. This role involves designing and implementing scalable systems and efficient computing solutions that support sustainability objectives. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to apply cutting-edge technologies such as machine learning, IoT, and big data analytics in environmental issues, contributing directly to AWS's commitment to power its operations with 100% renewable energy. Develop and implement high-performance computing solutions that reduce the environmental impact of AWS data centers Collaborate with software developers, data scientists, and environmental researchers to create algorithms and models that optimize resource use Analyse and improve the efficiency of systems through advancements in technology and data analytics Document and communicate findings effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders Contribute to AWS's sustainability programs by using innovative cloud technology solutions Monitor industry trends and contribute insights to AWS's ongoing environmental strategies Proficiency in AWS cloud services, especially related to computing and analytics Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages Experience with big data technologies and machine learning algorithms Excellent problem-solving capabilities and innovative thinking Capability to communicate technical information clearly Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty Certified Energy Manager (CEM) - a plus
