An Environmental Engineer develops solutions to environmental problems using engineering, biology, chemistry, and geology. Addresses pollution control, waste disposal, recycling, or public health issues. Works on local environmental issues, such as polluted groundwater, or global or regional issues, such as acid rain. Works with environmental scientists and public policymakers to identify problems and develop technologies that benefit people and protect the environment.

Job Description
Additional Responsibilities:
Operate equipment such as skid steers and excavators (training provided as needed). Assist in directing subcontractors and perform basic supervisory work. Screen soil and debris for contaminants. Perform manual digging. Collect soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and air samples. Manually process residual solid products (e.g., size and wet). Document work completed. Conduct general operation and maintenance tasks. Qualifications Minimum Requirements A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field. Valid U.S. driver's license. Subject to a Motor vehicle records check Successful candidate will have to pass a background check and a drug screen. Due to the nature of the role, we will not be able to provide any sponsorship at this time or in the future. US citizen or permanent resident. Successful candidate will be enrolled in a medical surveillance program. Preferred QualificationsHAZWOPER 40
Hr Training Prior experience in environmental field data collection including drilling, soil logging, well installation and soil, groundwater, vapor sample collection, and/or remediation system operations, maintenance, and monitoring. Master's Degree is a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Coursework or experience providing knowledge relevant to waste management, environmental site assessments, environmental site investigation and characterization, and environmental remediation is preferred Knowledge of environmental sampling practices Additional Information At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
