For more information, visit www.premisehealth.com. As a Full Time Ergonomics Specialist, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Gaithersburg, MD.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00a - 5:00p. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience conducting ergonomic assessments, with industrial ergonomics experience strongly preferred. A Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) or Certified Industrial Ergonomist (CIE) certification is strongly preferred. Candidates who do not currently hold an ergonomics certification must be willing to obtain one within an agreed-upon timeframe. What You'll Do Promote safe workplace environments through proactive ergonomic strategies. Identify and assess ergonomic hazards in various workplace environments. Operate within an embedded client setting, adapting to site-specific needs and culture. As appropriate, track key performance indicators (KPI's) such as injury rates, risk reduction & produce clear, accurate, and timely technical reports to support ergonomic evaluations and recommendations. Complete data collection and detailed analysis. Instruct and facilitate training sessions on ergonomic principles and practices. Develop and implement solutions for both short-term and long-term ergonomic risk reduction. Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining timelines and deliverables. Perform Ergonomic Assessments including office and Manual Material Handling workspaces. Produce technical reports using a standard documentation procedure in a proficient and timely manner. Complete data collection and detailed analysis. Advise on the organization of production lines and workstations including providing recommendations for new equipment/corrective actions for assessments (including MMH) Develop, present, promote, and engage with employees for prevention activities -workplace, break software, opposite movement, spot checks, Health Fair representation. What You'll Bring Degree is Health Sciences (Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Exercise Science, Biomechanics, or Physical Engineering) required Ability to get certified in one or more of the following - Board Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE), Certified Industrial Ergonomist (CIE). Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 annually.
